Raritan Bay Report...Limits Limits
 

Took my good friend Dupes for a morning trip yesterday on Raritan Bay.
A gorgeous morning and the Raritan once again produced non stop action for us and a double limit for Tom and myself. We had the right drift for the spots I fish but it was a little fast for our light tackle. Once we made the adjustment with the sea anchor and controlled the drift it was game on for 3 hours. Lots of fun on light tackle. We have yet to catch a sea robin which concerns me....where are the sea robins ? Had a big school of cow nose rays cruise by the boat. That was cool to see. Go get em guys they are stacked up out there.

it was a fluke fest this weekend for sure! nice job! we also have seen very very few sea robins this season.

We were out on Sunday and no shortage of Sea Robins where we were fishing on the ocean side. No shortage of flies either :mad:

Time for a commercial......Got to break in my new Costa sunglasses yesterday on the water. That was why I could see the cow nose rays 4 feet below the surface. The quality is unbelievable. Been catching Robins every trip this month... some nice ones too!!! Got stabbed by one last week and bled like a hemophiliac all over the deck. (guess the daily aspirin the Doc recommended are working! ) They seem to like gulp/squid/spearing combo. Haven't had any hit the bucktail. There's lots of robins in The Bay and around The Hook! ... As an added bonus, the sturgeon were jumping on Sunday morning.
