Re: Last nights Wally
That's one nice and fat eye.
Kudos. Andre |
Re: Last nights Wally
beautiful eyeball, thats a solid fish anywhere!! Ive noticed the same thing this year, they are either 20" class fish or 26-27s, not many in between. I think alot of ppl are taking advantage of the nite bite and too many eyes are hitting the dinner table these days, Id like to see the bag limit down to 1 fish for a few years

This girl was released ofcourse. she was pissed she got caught, swam off with a bad attitude.
Yup, IMO if your gona keep walleyez keep the small guys. like under 21" especially in NJ lakes. taste better anyway. lets try and grow a trophy people. especially in our lakes :D. everybody knows the bigD has to have a 15 LB'er lurking. |
Re: Last nights Wally
Great looking Eye! Congrats to the angler that caught the BEAST. Pennsylvania Eyes taste better. 5 fish @ 15 or greater is a bargain. Nothing beats the taste of those 15 inchers. Good catch! Walleye bag limit down to 1 fish sounds good to me. Why not make it 1 fish between 18-22 inches to help the fine fishery we already have!:D

Re: Last nights Wally
All game fish could benefit from a slot but let's be honest. Probably won't happen. We can only try to do it personally for ourselves. I usually use the skillful angler chart as my guide. Anything bigger released. I even threw back a bunch of perch over 13" this ice fishing season.
Big fish, they lay more eggs, they have better genes to grow bigger and faster (most likely) or they're just really lucky haha. Plus small fish taste better! |
