The ARK

The wife and I were deciding what to do for dinner tonight and i had a few blackfish filets in fridge from Sat so decided to head to the ARK in point pleasant.( one of our local favorites) For those of you who don't know this is a sponsor to this site and they have awesome food. Brought filets in with me and chose to have them done blackened with a horseradish sauce and a side of french fries and a salad. Bottom line is I'm near a food coma as I type this. If you haven't checked this place out yet do your taste buds a favor and GO. All that food was $12.99!!! Not really a fishing report but i did eat fish!!!!

Re: The ARK

They advertise on their website that they'll cook your catch, there's a big writeup from Asbury Park Press hanging up inside the restaurant about them cooking your catch if you're visiting the area and have no means to cook your fish while down. Tony who owns the place is an avid fisherman himself, there's a bunch of pics all over the restaurant of him with some stripers he's caught. Awesome little hole in the wall, their burgers are probably one of the best in the area...worth checking out if you're down in Point

Thanks for supporting our sponsors guys. Tony, the owner has been in the restaurant business for 25 plus years but his first love is fishing and hunting.

Great people, great food and grog and as mentioned above, they will cook your catch and Tony has some great fishing stories to accompany it.

Definitely worth a stop when you are down in Point.

No kidding. Now the PaBeerGuy's interested. Gotta love the Dirt Wolf double IPA @ 8.7% and smooth as a kitten.

If you don't bring your own fish, try the Tilefish Oregenata over garlic spinach, one of their best seafood dishes if you don't mind lots of garlic :)

Re: The ARK

It's ironic. They won't stay in business long being so cheap.

James, if you do go, it can't hurt for you to say to Tony that you are friends with the Tile fellow, Dennis.
