Still missin the fishin
 

Stiill down in Florida helping mom. The radiation kicked her ass and she is a shell of the person I know. I'm sitting alone with her right now and although far from religious I'm preying for a full recovery. She seems to have put the cancer in its place but the treatment is almost as bad as the desise. The radiation has done terrible things to her stomach and she hasent had any nutrition in weeks. We finally got the doctors to put an intestinal feeding tube in and hope that helps. My mom has plenty of support down here but it is nice to be here to help her and my sisters.

God bless Jill who told me to stay a few more days. Will be flying home cristmas eve so I can be with the family Christmas morning.

So no fishing while I'm down here but I will be out the day after Xmas with the mimi.

Hey Shrimpy....
tough watching someone going thru that. Did it with my mom years back. Unfortunately lost her to the disease.
Its a long hard road.
Hope they got a quick hand on it and wish for the best.

I have been down that road and it is not easy. The support of family and having a positive attitude has much to do with someone's recovery.

Good luck & I hope your mom has a positive recovery. When through something similar with my dad. He took me fishing when I was a little kid, and they are great memories.

It's tough watching someone you love suffer and you would gladly trade places with them so they were spared the torment.

Best of luck with your Mom's recovery Steve. I too know how tough it is going through these things with family, especially Moms and Dads. After all, they brought us into the world so it's tough thinking about them leaving it.

Been thinking about you Steve. Hoping all is going well. Went thru this with Mom and Dad in a three year span. Never easy to see a parent struggle. Way to go with being there with your Mom !!!! Will keep you and your family in our prayers.
