Got a few fish and a wet azz!!!!!!
 

Decided last minute today to make a run and try for some trout. I knew it was going to rain but winds were light to nothing so had to go, not many days with no wind in the winter. Well I got up to the lake about 11:00am and as I am launching the DECK ARM Dude is coming out. A big thanks to him as he put me on the fish pretty quickly and not too far from the launch. Fished stickbaits and spoons all day NO BAIT!!! BELIEVE it or not!!!! I caught my first fish on a 2 inch jointed firetiger shad rap about 175-200 ft back on the board about a half hour in. Small maybe 14/15 inches but was happy just to catch something today! I kept at it for a while and landed 2 more before I finally called a day. They were both about 18/20 inches, measured the first estimated the second. All three were released unharmed. All three on the shad rap as they didn't want anything else I threw. Also gave a weak attempt at jigging them because I had some really nice marks today but I have no patience and if I don't catch one in like five jigs I quit jigging. Surface temp was 45 degrees. Packed it in about 3:00pm soking wet and cold but happy with the outcome of the day!!!! Here's a pic or two first one came out clear the second not so much. Oh well more concerned about my phone than the pics so sorry.

Still soggy...........

YOU KNOW I AM USUALLY ALWAYS DRAGGIN SOMETHING BEHIND THE BOAT CAUSE THAT'S THE WAY I FLOAT!!!! ;)

Just got a SWEEEET deal at the freehold fishing flea market-
I got 6 J's for 14.00 bucks which would have cost me close to 50.00 in the store!:D

Thanks Guys..... I looooose my freaking mind sitting home!!! Any days the wind ain't howlin I get out in the winter!!! I really don't mind the rain but the wind Screws it all up. I try to fill the void with boat and tackle repairs and maitenance but that will only get ya so far. LOL

Way to get em, I thought about going there but got a last minute chance at a tog charter and am glad I did. Poured most of the day on the ocean tho...

Got to say was quite impressed with the marks on the finder, Kinda like the good old glory days. I actually saw quite a few fish some on bottom and a lot about 20 ft up off bottom and some decent schools of bait as well. I usually ride around and see a fish here and there and some bait the same way but if I had bait I would have anchored up and dropped on them they were so thick.

Lil late on this1 but good to see ya out there gettin sum tail.. u have no idea how bad I wanna jjig sum 6-10in baits there!!! Not sayin u aint catchin biggins on a lil lure but em state records are snackin on that 15in u got.. u wanna slim jim or a porter house??
