Weeeeeeeeee're Back!
 

Well I figured I was going to take sunday off and spend the day with the mrs. except it didn't work out as planned. My daughter begged me to take her out because she said " I just have to be on the water, what time are we leaving and where are we going?" Ha ha ha that's my girl! Well my wife said go ahead because she wanted to sleep in and then maybe go for a bike ride. How cool is that, your wife telling you to go fishing on mothers day. We worked quite a few spots before we finally hooked up with the first, a nice fatty just over five lbs. Finally a nice one for 2014! We continued to work the area for a while and missed the hook up on the second bite of the day. After moving once again we hook up again and Kelly has a good fish on and after a several minute battle she subdued the beast! A beautiful fish going just under seven pounds! After that we picked up one more fish, a smallie about 14/15 inches. Was very happy to catch a few after four or five trips up in search of. The water temp warmed to 62 degrees, a nice rise since last time and anticipate the bite to get better as the warmer weather is becoming more consistent.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! I thought I saw ya out there. nothin but the skunk here. trollin for 6 hours and no love. My daughter always brings the fish as well. Way to go Dale !!

Niiiiiice buddy. Way to get out back to back days AND put nice fish in the boat! Nice to see them wipers chew, too. Hopefully my daughter asks me questions like that when she's older!

I thought the fish took the day off on Mother's Day, LOL! Looks like your getting into your groove now you lil CUDDLY GRIZZLY BEAR, LOL!!! Glad you and the famous fishing Kelly got your fix. Some very nice fish homie! GREAT JOB!!!!

Well ya know what you need to catch fish, your little girl. Not sure about me, I think its bannanas, but there suppose to be bad Luck in a boat. Glad to see your back buddy.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. The weather cooperated for the most part till the wind started cranking again. I put quite a few hours in this year so far and had pretty poor results so those two were very nice since most of the ones I have caught so far have been smaller fish. I always work extra hard to put my daughter on fish when she's with me. Was pretty funny because her friend was with us as well and I was trying to get them both at least one fish and when we hooked up with that big one Kelly and her friend kept going back and forth over who was gonna land the fish! It was the right thing to do by letting her land the fish but I'm sure her friend was saying to himself "MAN I SHOULD HAVE LANDED THAT FISH!" HAHAHA!!!! And a great big thank you to my amazing wife and we ended the day having dinner at Fridays with my family anyway so all in all a great weekend!
