Spring Fling - March 30, 2014
 

I am sure most of you are fed up with this past winter and thoughts are switching from freezing temps and shoveling snow to warm sunny days and bent rods.

I am very grateful to many of the members here on njfishing for all the support I received during my fundraiser. As a thank you I have worked out a great deal with njfishing member Frank Qui who owns a restaurant in Jackson called Wok n Roll.
Frank was one of the members who was EXTREMELY generous and donated quite a bit of his fishing equipment to me to sell for fundraiser. For those of you who know Frank he will go above and beyond to take very good care of us during our get together. His place is AMAZING and the food is OUTSTANDING. If you can not make it on the 3/30/14 feel free to stop by his place as I promise you will not be disappointed. Check out his website.

If you are looking for the opportunity to share in some great food, drinks and a chance to share stories and plans for the upcoming fishing season. Please respond to this post whether you will be attending and how many so I can give Frank a headcount. I will also be taking this opportunity to draw the winner of RAFFLE ROD I donated during the Hi-Mar Flea Market so someone is going to be a very happy camper. If any of the sponsors of the site attend I will set up a separate table where you can display your product or services so members can make purchase or set up charter dates etc.... Just let me know.

Count me in Alex this is a great idea. I will be bringing a couple of bottles of Red & White wines. I just got to check my liquor cabinet to see what I got. Frank has great food & is a great fisherman & his food is top shelf. This is a great way to start off the year.

Great idea! Trying to change my plans so I can come. Frank is a great guy and fisherman as well. Love fishing with him as his lunch is always amazing.

All updates will be made on first page so people do not have to read through all pages to get updated info. I would like to give Frank a solid headcount by 3/27 so he can prepare accordingly. I will NOT stick him with additional cost if people are thinking about coming but not sure or no show. Need a solid yes to add you to list. For those who have responded but are not sure I will add a Maybe List to first page until you give confirmation you are in. So far we have 6 definates and 3 maybe's. Pass the word around as this is shaping up to be a fun night.

I am definite. Not bringing anything unless I go out fishing on Fri or Sat. If I get out, I will bring various sea creatures to be cooked and sampled. Definitely a gutted bled doggie and a silver eel at least. Sure they can be made to taste good when fried and covered in sauce.

Alex, this sounds like a fun event and I would like to attend.

Unfortunately, Capt. Tommy isn't available this weekend and Capt. Ed is still down in FL enjoying the 80 degree weather, so it will just be myself representig the FISH TANK crew.

You can put me down for a case of water (Coors Light) and we would also like to donate a coupon for a free open boat fare to be used anytime during the 2014 season.

If there is anything else we can do/bring to help out, please don't hesitate to call me.

No sea delicacies from me. Too windy to go out. Hope Frank has nice sushi as I am on a late winter diet.:eek: Getting fat and old with labs starting to creep up towards the questionable range sucks.

Looks like an even dozen for Sun. Was really hoping to have surprise guest which was elderly neighbor who this fundraiser has been started for to come but she can not make it as she has no one to take care of her mom while she is away. Told her I would get her an aide for the day so she could have day off but she will not let anyone take care of her. Very stubborn old school polish lady.

Just spoke to Frank and we are all set for tomorrow for 12 guys which Frank says is perfect for getting us set up all in one location so that we do not have to be seated at separate tables. As for Alcohol this is what we have coming so far
