Carnegie lake FYI
Princeton's finest threw us off the ice yesterday morning 5 minute's after getting 15 tip ups set. Said the lake was closed because it's unsafe. I told him there's 10 inches he then asked if I was an expert. WTF 10 inches Unsafe? Packed it in and went to Davis Mill Pond and jigged a few Bass and Crappies. Anyone else ever get kicked off Carnegie?

Re: Carnegie lake FYI
We just went through this on farington great to inform. You coulda stayed! Heres how it works they can deny you acess to parking if parked in a gated area if its public parking and a public area you are free to roam upon your own safty any issues call fish and game office north brunswick had a meeting with fish and game...also to add to something ive learned this winter while on trout streams if you enter a public area you can walk the entire lenghth of the river as long as you never step ft out nobody owns the dirt below the water and can not doing anything about you fishing it

The trout clubs believe if they own/lease land on both sides of the river that they 'own' the river. I tried getting into one of those trout clubs, but they said there was a very long waiting list. I'd have to stand-by until enough people quit or died that my position on the waiting-list would be reached. They had no idea how many years that would take. . |

Re: Carnegie lake FYI
Man I caught a ton of trout in that stretch above Solitude. That club stocks some bruisers. This was a while back. I haven't fished there in quite a few years. I'd just like to thank that club for all the bait and meals that it provided me with in the past. I think I caught my PB walleye on a trout that was taken out of that stretch, LOL.
Anyone wana go "CLUBBIN"?:D |
Re: Carnegie lake FYI
Great fishing below the Lake Solitude dam after a good flooding!

Re: Carnegie lake FYI
LOL, "clubbin." That's classic Eddie. It's amazing how fast a trout in a private "fly fishing only section" will suck down a garden worm on a treble hook.

Re: Carnegie lake FYI
Where is this place? I need more muskie bait.

Re: Carnegie lake FYI
Ha ha. The South Branch between High Bridge and Califon. There's a couple of clubs that stock big trout in there.

Re: Carnegie lake FYI
The salmon river is totally off limits at the DSR and so is most of the never sink from what I'm told.

Hey Jimmy your PM box is full !!!!! :(

Re: Carnegie lake FYI
Here is an article about river rights. Even though it say all running water is public by law for navigation and recreation. The courts still decided the fishing rights on the DSR were private, but navigation rights were public.
