OK blackfishing 12-28
 

Headed out with Ed today to do some end of the year black fishing. And to bring the boat home for its winter nap.
Had a slow pick most of the morning, with a few nice tog in the mix.

I limited out, and Ed had three, as well as us having about a dozen shorts.

Was pretty nice out today inspite of the HOWLING wind all day .

Boat is home for less than 24 hours and I already cant wait to put it back in the water

def was good finally getting out. weather hasnt cooperated much on the few days I had a chance to get out. ( even Saturday was FAR from ideal )

Had hoped to target some slobs this fall, just didnt happen .

Hope to change that in the next few weeks fishing on some of the open boats here

Nice way to end the season on your boat. Now you can just go on other peoples boat where they can do all the work and you just focusing on fishing and catching. Did you ever decide on what blank to build new tog stick on?

Just not the same satisfaction as putting the boat on my own spot and finding a good one, as fishing with someone else.

my work schedule since Sandy hit last year just hasnt left me the time to fish more blanks to be sure.
but so far im thinking another lami glass blank 1143 will be what I get built.

my amtech glass is still my go to rod, above all else I have fished the 1143 I fished felt very simaler with just a little more back bone
