With the dismal flounder reports as of late we went on a hunch and found them. Had 30 fish to the boat in just about 2 hours only keeping our limit.biggest was 19 inches. Will be back at it in the a.m..

Re: Flounder Poundin!

No worries about being over our limit. There were actually 2 boats involved in this catch. The only picture taken on the water was the one you see which was a double header and that is why the pic was taken. 3 guys in each boat basically anchored up stern to stern. Next time I will be a little more specific. I'll even let you know what we had for lunch. Most likely flounder sammies.

I've seen 5 in a row boat each fishing 2 poles

But since you are offering more info

What body of water were you fishing?

Was any bait out producing?

Plain hooks or grubs?

Chum?

Corn?

Which 2 hours of the day?

Tide?

Brand of Beer or soda?

Sam Adams and I got so drunk I forget the rest of the info you are asking about. Anyway, in all seriousness before I get labeled a resident dick on here, we were north and it was bare basics for flounder fishing. Chum, sands and plain hooks. We didn't even drag the anchors or get into any of the other flounder techniques. Just think a little different this year. These fish were not in any kind of well pronounced hole.

No need to explain yourself, you kept your limit, drank some brews and had a good day. That is what is all about. Good for you. :D

There is a big diference between saying "I was fishing the Raritan back bay and saying I went flounder fishing"

One is braging and the other is giving a fishing report

I was not asking for him to say I was 50 feet west of the red #6 bouy but saying what body of water was producing would be helpful

This can either be a photo op/hey look at me site or a sharing of information site. You can give good information without spot burning

There was over 40 hours put into finding these things this year. We take pride in the fact that we find our own fish whether it be Freshwater or Saltwater. I understand it cost some money to fish these days but we payed our dues so far this year. By no means am I bragging about these fish. First if all they are just flounder not 125lb yellowfin. If I wanted to brag I would upload all the pics on my phone and you may shat yourself a bit. This post is to encourage people who thought that these fish may be gone or not ready to bite yet. Soon enough you will see how hard the guy pictured and myself fish once he becomes a site sponsor. Until then I will post encouraging pictures of our fun days on the little boat. Go fish, fish hard and reap the rewards just like we did. Tight lines and hope to fish with some of you this year.

Good for you Shawn and great response. Now please PM me your spot..
Just kidding ;)

To each his own on sharing spots. My brother ^^^^ and I differ a bit on this subject. He always lectures me when we get off the boat... "This better not be all over NJFishing.com"

Being the older, wiser and more handsome brother, I share what I want with who I want behind his back :D

Joe's Right, Gerry's Wrong! I love the site but there is something to be said for doing your OWN homework; if you ain't got the time, jump on a party boat as those captains have the best intel in the industry.

Was it up a river? :D

Great catch. Of course it isn't always about catching em up, it's about good times and naturally bringing home dinner/lunch is a bonus.

Very Nice job. Not asking to burn a spot... but generally where? Shark River, Raritan bay/ River?

A lot of naysayers- two fish aint wert it!
