Union County Carp
Last time I was bass fishing at Nomahegan, the carp were feeding. Figured I'd give it shot. Got one, not huge, but a nice fight. Same strategy from JMurr.....chum with cream corn, bait with whole kernel corn, wait.

Nice hoover. They're such a hoot on light tackle!

Re: Union County Carp
Thanks man. This thing fought harder than some of the 10-pounders that I've caught. Had a lot of spirit in him.

Re: Union County Carp
Nice, was there anymore milling round your chum slick?
|
Re: Union County Carp
Not many actually. The lake was very low. I usually see more around, but there weren't many. Usually you can spend time walking around the lake to find them, but I didn't have the energy today. Think I may try Milton tomorrow.

Re: Union County Carp
You know, I HAVE to ask...
Did you slip in the muck trying to get this guy out? Your arm is pretty messy - lol |
Re: Union County Carp
Nice carp

Re: Union County Carp
I didn't slip, but I got a mud bath. That lake gets really low and I had to walk in the mud to get him out. The mud on my arm was probably from when I was trying to wash the mud off the fish for the Kodak moment. You can see the mud on my face from when it was flopping around. All part of the game and well worth it.
