365 Days Of Fishing

I know that some of you guys check out my blog from time to time, and I just wanted to give you the heads up, that starting this Saturday, I am going to start posting every day as I attempt to go fishing every day for the next 365 days. I have no idea why I'm doing this, but for some reason, it just seems like a good idea. Check the blog for my self-imposed rules and regulations and any suggestions will be welcomed.

Thanks,
Catfish

Good luck,

i am curious how you will handle the ice fishing when we get a big snowfall. fishing during that sounds painful.

Re: 365 Days Of Fishing

I've thought about that, but I'm not limited to ice fishing. There are usually a few rivers that don't freeze (including one that I can walk to) as well as the Hudson River piers and few spillways coming out of lakes. Where there is a will, there is a way. Plus, if I make it to winter, I'm going to be pretty determined to make it through a few more months at that point.

First, I’d like to let you know that you’re certifiably crazy. None the less, I wish you luck. It’s not going to be easy.

I know you're in my area (Cranford). I’ll keep an eye out for you.

I'm doin' about 150 + per yr fr & salt, & I thought that was ambitious, funny thing is I could probably go another 50 or so without hesitation. When I actively chartered I went about the same every year weather permitting on the boat combined w/ personal.
Now all for my personal enjoyment ! Good Luck very ambitious indeed!!;)

Wow Andy, you brought this back from the dead. Thanks buddy. Sorry we couldn't work things out tonight. I think that God's way of telling me to chillax and do some work around the house. Think I may tried to get a kitty from Warinanco tonight. Talk soon.

Re: 365 Days Of Fishing

I had to share this. I waited a bit too long today and the storms rolled in. I wasn't sure if they were gonna clear out later, so I took a shot and did my fishing with thunder and lightning cracking in the distance. To get the point across that I was fishing in a storm, I propped my camera up in my fishing bag to show what I was doing. Since I was fishing a pressured lake in Union County, it didn't even cross my mind that I might actually catch a fish in what I expected to be 15 seconds of video, but on the first take and the first cast, I caught a little largemouth. It's a small fish, but hey, I got the whole thing on film.

Thanks to everyone who is supporting this endeavor.

I would like to try and find more places to shore fish for when my boat buddy isn't around and you seem to be doing all the right things (overall, hehe). And if you ever want to PM me any of your secret locations, I swear I won't tell anyone!! ;)

Didn't get the Fisherman yet but your goal is very inspiring. I have only fished 76 days this year so far. Probaly won't hit my 150 and I dont think I did last year.

Re: 365 Days Of Fishing

To those of you that have posted on this post, particularly the younger crowd...anything over 100 days of fishing a year, your living the DREAM (My DREAM):D

For those of us that are a little older (> 40) and have families we are lucky enough to sneak out a fraction to that time.

If I could fish a fraction of the time I am thinking about it it could potentially exceed 365 days of fishing. That said, if I manage 30-50 trips a season and have a smile on all my kids/wife's face, and don't forget my own:cool:   , I have succeeded

365 days...do it while you can and keep reporting!

I know you were a help to me when I made my trip to Lake Guntersville in Alabama. If you want to make a weekend night-time trip to catch smallies, walleye, cats, or maybe some carp in the Easton area, let's get in touch. I'd be glad to help.

So catfish, how is Irene going to affect the quest?

More importantly, will you and yours be safe through this beast?
