Marinas being closed?

I just got a hold of Monmouth County marina....they are suspending manned operations there BUT the gates will be open for access to boats on land and in the water.

Did they say when they might be resuming operations and up and running?

Re: Marinas being closed?

No...they didnt. Im assuming its based on Gov. Murphy's statement today and until further notice. I believe they were scrambling to get some boats in the water whom were ready to get in and stay in a while.

One of my other buddies on the rack there had is boat put in and he'll stay in until they are operational again.

Yea, I wanted to get in next week. I guess I will get more work done before launching. No services or fuel until further notice. I guess the county will owe us all a little money if it goes more than a couple of weeks.

I highly doubt the county or any authority will credit us any $$$ back for this.
As for Leonardo, unless they padlock the gates & chain off the driveways...the dock gates themselves are punch codes to get in.

Monmouth County Parks are closed as of tomorrow Except, for the Bayshore Trail and Monmouth Cove Marina. Marina is accessibly for Boat Owners Only!! Atlantic's ramp is open to every idiot that has something that floats. What a crap show!!

This is likely for the general public not for slip holders... Not sure about the ramp.. I was there yesterday afternoon with some other slip holders and had no issues, although how knows, that may change too...

only time will tell. Boaters having their boats at Spruce run were told they could remove their boats by 7 PM last night.
If not they wouldn't have access to remove them for an undisclosed period of time.

next few weeks are def going to be very trying between whats right for all and whats fair for each

For sure Dan.... We need to balance everyone's health and emotional safety with getting people back to work, out of their houses and give them hope of returning to some sense of normalcy... I just wonder what the new norm is going to be....

Seeing 4 or 5 guys on a single boat on Sunday was actually a bit disheartening. If that keeps happening, the fishing on private vessels will be cancelled as well.

Hi all, I live in Pa and my boat is in Neptune marine we got an e mail 2 weeks ago that they were not launching any boats till further notice.
I do not mind this because my wife is a health care provider and she says people are still coming to her urgent care for stupid stuff please just stay home we will get over this and be stronger than ever.

Just talked to Chet - they are basically closed & no boats can go in until the County says they can open back up & that's all up to (insert your own) Murphy:( - you can work on your boat, technically boat owners "only" in the marina is what Chet said - They will have someone sitting there watching during normal hours - it is what it is - stay safe

Re: Marinas being closed?

I was last boat in at Monmouth Cove, those guys are great and went out of their way to get me launched just before closing down. They'll have a skeleton crew there but cannot service any members, no launching, no fuel, etc.

Does anyone know where else is open for fuel nearby?

Re: Marinas being closed?

Atlantic Highlands Marina for now.

Flygaff 04-10-2020 03:52 PM

Re: Marinas being closed?

I would think the Highlands or Bahr's would be open for fuel. I was trying to get my boat in before the closing. Oh Well, I guess ill do a better job on bottom painting and finally get the port flow scan sensor working. I just hope it doesn't go past 5-15. There is always something to do. I'd thought I would get the small boat to Round Valley for a run. Went there today and they have the entire launch area blocked.

Stay Safe All. We'll get through this
