Tackle shops

Will tackle shops be open after Gov. Murphy's executive order today? Looking in Atlantic Highlands area. Tackle box, Atlantic Bait and Tackle etc. Thanks

Re: Tackle shops

I have to think they would be considered non-essential so they would not be open. Sounds like they are really trying to restrict retail as much as possible. You would likely have to hit a Walmart which should still be open because they are also a food store.

Its a shame that they can't stay open. In times like this, de stressing for a while and wetting a line out in the fresh air and away from crowds is a blessing and a gift.

Gotta stock the freezer, for sure.

Are the bloodworms that stripers go for in the spring available by just digging up the garden, or are they different and we need to get them from a tackle shop?

Novel idea do what most doctors are doing go to the tackle store call order what you want. The owner can put it outside and the owner can take payment by credit or debt card, just a thought

That'll def work.

Was at a marina yesterday picking up parts. Phone call from parking lot, tell em what you need, pay by card and they walk it out to the parking lot.

Worked well.

I wonder if the boat ramps will be open

Re: Tackle shops

As of this morning, the Belmar Municipal ramp was open. They put the gates up yesterday so you need to have tokens to get down the ramp. I bought some yesterday so I can at least get my boat in the water. The tokens are sold at the Fishermen's Den tackle shop, which brings us back to the original question- will it be open and if not, can you get tokens somewhere?

I drove through Bricktown, Point boro and Point beach, yesterday, Same today. Hard to find anyone who is actually closed. Yesterday Home depot, Shop rite, the bakery, Walmart, they were all packed! So. Loads of crowds, no germs out there, seems everything is fine,.,.,., I guess I go to the ice cream store, three girls about 17 years old behind the counter, no one seemed concerned about them! Don't they or their parents watch TV???? Then I got ahold of myself and said, yes, this virus thing is reel!! In fact they, the state or feds must have provided safe social retailers like I mentioned. Yes go there everything is fine now;)

Having a hard time understanding exactly what your post means but pretty sure it's not a fishing report per Gerry's mandate.
