HYBRID MEET & GREET! Nov 2

With the water temps on the drop and recent action and talking with a bunch of the guys, next Saturday November 2, there will be a bunch of us meeting up at lees state marina at 7:00am. If your looking to get in on the action and learn how to catch these things and where they live....COME ON OUT!!!! Myself eddie and the boys will give ya guys the low down if you need some help, and as always Njf will take over the big pond for the day,in the years past this week has been very productive we should be able to find some fish.... either way we always have a great time! For any guys that never been and a reminder Laurie at Dows rents boats if you need one give her a call. Usually the way it goes is everyone shows up helping each other launch and we all split up in different directions til we find the fish, then we get everyone In the same area... also for those that don’t know Lee’s has a lunch ramp fee of 20$ a day. Weather looks good so far if for some reason the wind is too much or rain we will have it the next day nov 3. Hope to see you guys there and if you have any questions let us know.

YESSSS, I just checked my calendar (Unless I forgot about something) and look's to be open for me and the wife to join you guy's. I will be the first one to admit, me and the wife are big on Bass fishing, and we have "NO" idea how to fish, nor find these Hybrids, so we are def. going to need some guidance. I guess the first question would be, do I get some kinda bait, or do we fish lures? I will double check my calendar, but really looking forward to meeting all you fishing nutz.

Mikey,
Can you send me the info too? Unfortunately I will be away that weekend traveling for work but targeting these fish has been on my list.

well, unfortunately, I'm not around unless the bite is still happening later in the afternoon; that's the earliest i can make it there. Gives squatch a chance to catch some fish without me stealing them all! enjoy!

my wife just told me she wants to (and i quote) 'get the f* out of the city as soon as we wake up sunday morning'....so i might be able to jump in earlier than antisipated :) and if you think i won't be sporting the tuxedo and the tony stark beard, you're dead wrong!

Looks like a nice day for Saturday as of now light wind, and no rain so that’s good! I have been hearing a few hybrids being caught out there so we will see what happens. I wanna give you guys a heads up I heard the smaller fish are on livers and the bigger fish been on bait so wouldn’t be a bad idea to carry both just in case....

Is topwater for hybrids mostly a night time thing?

Going to be real nice for a change! crazy winds and rains have cancelled a couple of these events...My best days were under blue birds skies!

I also have a Hobie. Ive been out there a few times in the spring for walleye. Launched from 2 different locations. I’m waiting on weather conditions the general area being fished before I commit. If a site member could PM me the area fished so I could determine if it’s within my range. Thanks 👍
Maybe us yakers can buddy up together for this.

I want to take my 7 year old grandson to this event but his soccer tournament may get in the way. If his game ends early enough, we could probably make it later in the morning or early afternoon. Could I contact someone then and see where we should go to meet up with your guys? This will be our first meet and greet.

Hybrids pull drag as hard as anything in the salt. No need to consider the salt till the tog opener on 11/16 😉.

Hi All,

My schedule has opened up so it looks like I'll be able to make it.

Does anyone happen to have room for one more in their boat?

I'll pick up the coffee, bait, and launch fees :D

I am there!! If someone could be so kind as to send me one of those PMs about gear needed, bait, etc so I can come prepared I would appreciate it as I am a total newbie to hybrids. Also I will have the 18' Tracker there with just me so easily room for 1-2 guys to join if needed.
