Re: Manasquan 400# Tuna
There have been a bunch of big ones brought in. The one I think you are referring to from Saturday was caught on a Sterling Tackle as Sterling’s tackle posted pictures of it on social media.

Re: Manasquan 400# Tuna
Ahhhh. Nice to have the ghosts back around like they used to be years ago.
Me thinks that when there are ling in the area they will come and we've seen a few decent ling reports lately ;) |
Re: Manasquan 400# Tuna
Brandon on the MIMI Sunday said he saw a large silver flash in the water by the boat, maybe a tuna? We boated a bunch of ling that day.

Re: Manasquan 400# Tuna
Maybe Little It....inshore reefs to offshore reefs and maybe a little further or north and south. Same as the old days.

Re: Manasquan 400# Tuna
The ghosts are always here this time of year in close, earliest I can say is May 15th from personal sight, but like clockwork, the 15th was at the inside gas can at the rocks

Re: Manasquan 400# Tuna
The larger bluefins are being caught in the canyons from the Toms down south to the Spencer. Smaller bluefins are mixed in the same areas and even further south to the Wilmington and Washington.

Re: Manasquan 400# Tuna
Catching one a landing means that they were ready.
Just reminding those that don't do this every year so they are ready when tuna show up...I'm not an expert on the matter but catching one by accident(bringing it to the boat-by luck) and keeping it without a permit would probably mean fines.. https://hmspermits.noaa.gov/ |
