Swartswood, Ice contest, 2nd place!
 

Fished the first week of the contest with Chase, Mikey, Rob, Mistah and Steve. Set up on the grounds and it was a slow go to start the day. Flags weren’t flying and the jigging was way off. Flags started popping later in the day as it got super warm out. It was an absolute Pickerel fest all over the lake. Chase pulled in quite a few earning a junior prize for his 21 inch Slime Dart. Proud of this kid for sure! My 2nd place fish was Good enough for 2nd place measuring 26.25 inches, weighing 4.78 lbs. Missed 1st place by .41, LOL! It’s all good, that Pickerel put 247 bucks in my pocket! YEA BUDDY!

Overall a slow day but everyone I fished with weighed in something. The Venison Kielbasa was delicious. My son talked more trash than anyone on the lake. The weather was perfect and the company was even better. Great day on Big Swartswood!!! Hoping to head back next Sunday depending on conditions.

Blackfish “Bobby” was at the Boathouse Restaurant for the weigh in. Cool dude for sure. Good to see you up there Bobby!

Super fun day with some great dudes. Ice conditions were great and once the sun was out, the heavy jacket went into the Clam. As Eddie said, the Pickerel were the hot ticket, I weighed in a nice 24.25" that weighed in a little over 4lbs. And oh yeah, Eddie spawned an offspring with more energy than him and an even more relentless sh*t talker :p:p . The boy is already a seasoned ice fisherman, super happy to see him win!

Nice to see some from NJFish up North !!! Great kid there Eddie !!!! I miss those days.... take him every moment you can. Don't blink.

We opted to stay by my house up the hill since the bite has been so good.
Didn't disappoint again. Fish all day with enough worthy of the stringer. Fished 9-3pm.
Once again we released most at end of the day before running down to have a beer and watch the 4pm weigh-ins at the Boat House.
A lot of fish and many variety..... Pickerel, Walleye, Perch, Crappies, Small mouth and Largemouth bass. Many of which were also released. Ilove the live weigh-in !!!!!

I guess we are not gonna talk about the monster smallmouth lost at the hole :eek: aghhhhh we came we conquered and we will all be back hopefully again for round 2. Sunday.... Congrats again to my little crazy homie chase and Eddie. Fun day on the water with the whole crew and that’s a great memory for Eddie and chase that neither one of them will forget. That’s what it’s all about right there!!!

congrats you two that is how it's done. getting paid to weigh in slime darts and thinning out the slime dart population in that place.. well done sounds like a good time had by all... hope this ridiculous weather does not put to much of a hurting on the ice.:cool:

Good job on the slime darts. It was a good crowd having fun. The money is nice but the memories are priceless. That's me at the scale in your group shot.

I thought that was you. I recognized you from photos posted elsewhere. KDC page I believe. I think you towed my Deep V Tracker into Lees marina 4-5 seasons ago during the Walleye contest. That was a terrible evening/ night of fishing. Hahaha!!! Gotta love fishermen! See you out there next week, conditions permitting of course.

This was an awesome day on the ice for Chase and I. I’m blessed to have the greatest fishing partner around. He’s dying to head back out this coming Sunday. YEA BUDDY!!:D

I towed a couple Trackers that season. Hope to get back out on the ice for week 2 also. So good to see all the kids out ice fishing.
