Recent Striped Bass Reporting Trend

Take a look at the photos from some recent striped bass reports! Did you notice the blurred backgrounds? This is the latest trend to avoid "spot burning". If you don't want to show the tall buildings, piers, bridges, ships etc. in the background
then turn the boat around and show the open water which will not give any indication about where you are fishing. I like to see good pictures The photoshop editing that was done just detracts from the quality of the picture. Besides, most good fishermen know your spots anyhow. Just saying.....

Personally, I never understood the issue with "spot burning" in the New York Bight....it simply is that big! :D

I don't have a problem with it. At least they are posting reports letting us know of a bite.

Guys and Gals, its just fun.. we know where the fish are, and if you were to keep notes, its kinda like Groundhog day. I have an idea. since most of these poor bastards have been tied to the dock lately, how about you just give them $$ and they will tell you where to go. There is a reason why I don't post here often. Bless you guys. SMH

Just because you see the background doesn't mean the fish was caught there, just that the picture was taken there when they had time.

What's the problem with blurring backgrounds on an OPEN forum? Leave the spot burning/report chasing circle jerk on fb lol
