New Gulp color

Do any of the sponsor tackle shops have any 6" grubs in the salmon red color? John Skinner posted a video on it and now it's sold out everywhere!!

Dan Harley at Cape May tackle posted on Facebook that he has salmon available at 6.99 per pack, which I believe is regular retail. Not related in any way to the seller.
I am not getting any and have lots of different colors. It might have been working well for John Skinner on that day but a different day on a different place would be different.

My understanding is that only a small quantity of this color is available at each select shop...not sure if GULP made a small amount of this trial color or are trying supply and demand to see if it is effective.. it looks real pretty on a glow spro ill tell you that :D

We are talking about the same fluke my father and I caught 40 years ago just by dragging squid and dead smelt along the bottom ?
Did these fish evolve to eat more plastic and rubber as man has evolved to use more plastic and rubber as bait ?

Yeah I had heard about it for the first time 3 weeks ago and wanted to grab a couple packs to try it out for the hell of it, then forgot to get it and he posted the video and it's nowhere to be found. Pink shine has been best for me this season anyways.

Don't know about evolution, I just like to stick with what works for me and doesn't catch me dogfish and skates all day.

40 years ago on the Piper out of Point Pleasant or the Big Marie S out of Belmar my father and I caught all the fluke we wanted on a strip of squid and a dead frozen smelt. No one jigged for these fluke nor did they use plastic or rubber baits. It's an evolution in fishing.

40 years ago there was no internet, cell phones, NJFishing.com...but we use those everyday and don't bring up the days of old when you didn't need or have them....so yeah, evolution is great!

Has anyone tried a killie squid combo lately, I heard that works well. :D
Yes, captain Blackie Walsh, fond memory as a child. The boat was rocking heavily, I sat down in the cabin and wasn't feeling well. The old crusty mate with 2 teeth sits down beside me and starts chomping down raw smelt !!
The memories. Dad always caught lots of fluke and large weakfish most trips.

It’s hard to argue the quality of fish being caught on jigging fluke compared to traditional bait rigs ( no comparison) you can say the same for every fish species like trolling mojos on braided line now ..instead of letting a mile of wire line out for bunker spoons... or a light jig with crab on a 30/30 braid mono combo for blackfish compared to a 60 lb mono and 10 oz sinker and pool stick rod trying to get the blackfish out of the wreck... fishing has evolved for the better and changes everyday.... yes you will catch on the 40 year ago setup but no comparison to what is being used today.

Sure .all the guys crying there are no keeper fluke around are fishing that way .

The whole time guys bucktailing are throwing back 20" fish because we are catching better quality fish .

Day in day out a good bucktailer will outfish a bait dragger 5/1

I have to agree and 40 or so years ago (1978) I was using Loran and compass to navigate and a had flash fish finder that looked like a wall clock. It would be foolish to ignore innovation for the sake of nostalgia but hey, to each his own.
