Your requirement for the term Doormat?
 
Been fluke fishing for 35 years and the term Doormat to me was a fish 10 LBS or larger!! What’s your guys opinion the requirements for the term Doormat? 9 lbs nice fish, 10+ and your in the Doormat Club!!

Huffman is on the mark..... the old salts from our fishing club would accept nothing less than 10 + pounds to make the "Brazicki's Tavern Doormat Club".....
There are still some captains on this board who will remember Otto "Big O" Stanton....Eddie "Big E" Mayka, Harry Messemer and Joe Ashmore. Jersey City's finest fishermen....

No need in my opinion to apologize. You are a fine fisherman and love reading your reports both salt and sweet! My guess too was this was started over your report but WTF who cares. Keep catching those doormat walleye, pike and yes FLUKE
Having said all that its 10lbs lol

Doormat in NJ and NY is 10 #

Doormat in Massachusetts is 15#, ( so all you guys catching 10 + fish there, they don't count ) LOL
