Some more smallmouths from the Raritan

Just some smallmouths from the main stem

This one caught a week ago I think, forget when. Hit a zoom u-tale.

These next two from this evening. This one hit the worm just like the last one.

This one hit a Cotton Cordell minnow in some nice bass-like pattern. Surprisingly in faster, shallower, water.

(yes I regret putting my reel in that mud)

Not included: a dink that also hit the worm.

A fulfilling day because I havent even gotten any bass from this stretch last two times I hit it.

Mmmm so much carp in this one hole in the river. Send me a pm if you're a carp angler :D

You would be surprised how many SMB hang out in the fast water, they are just harder to catch, nice BRONZE !

Good job young Jedi. Those are some nice healthy fish. That last picture looked real nice to me. Do you think it had anything for the 19+ incher you had a rough time measuring?
Like others have said, your work is paying off & are close to that 5lber, & going from Padawan to Jedi master😉.
I would be in for a morning or evening bronze back outing..... Let me know, I'll get the bait.

The NB was still off color yesterday below the Lamington confluence fwiw.
I’m still new to the area but the NB from 202/206 to 22 has long stretches that run through private, posted lands or are otherwise difficult to access. From the road and the bridges I see water that makes me want another kayak. I can see why Andy wants to float it.

I believe it was stained before the thunderstorms cause of round valley discharge. Was stained in lamington today. Thunderstroms were raging just north.

Still caught a whole bunch of dink smallies.
