Pike-a-thon 2k18 anyone?
 

Been chatting with FASTEDDIE about reviving the good old Pike-a-thon this year, so before we set anything in stone, we're looking to gauge interest. Day long contest? Week long contest? Meet and greet? We have an idea of what we would like to set-up, but always looking for input from the peanut gallery!

Whoaaaaa!!! That 40 inch river monster sure did peak my interest. Are there any Pike fishermen left in NJ? The 1st 3 PIKE-A-THON’s were way too easy! There has to be an end to the madness and someone else needs to take the crown! Where are the Pike fishermen??? Hello!!!!!:D

I'd be interested. Might just have to pull Andre out of wherever he's been hiding and rent a boat on Spruce again just for fun. Maybe pull the winner out of Farrington

I hit the River a few days ago and had a day that reminded me of the first Pike-a-thon...... SKUNKO!! Sorry, I actually I caught 1 monster perch, lol.

Looked great to with lots of new laydowns from the winter but nobody was home, or just not interested? A lot of the narrower sections may even be blocked off as well. Guess I'll have to do some more exploring to find the beasts. Anyway, count me as a maybe if my ridiculous work schedule allows it......

I was in on the past several "pike a thons"......BUT....in 4 trips this year.......I have ZERO pike....ugh.
Not sure what's up....but in past years, I would have landed a bunch by now....ugh.....

September has always been my favorite month.....by I will play along !

Maybe I will take my grandson with me...lol.

I was out on Sunday evening bank beating, landed 4 Pike and lost another 4. They were pretty active. TONS of carp around though, was bumping into them almost every cast.

Carp are spawning it seems, on the raritan river on the headgates dam they were trying to jump it. Basically laying in 1 inch of water on whatever that lil step below the dam is.

im in, do it as a meet n greet is my .02. last one i remember meeting up with john shein:( and getting SKUNKED but he caught a carp on the fly, which was cool.

Alright dudes, so we are thinking another week long contest. Options are July 7-14, or the first or second week in August. Input?
