Re: Hows Cutting Holes This Weekend
I live in Vernon, as of yesterday still a lot of open water on lakes in Sussex county. Up on the wawayanda mountain lakes look like giant slushies with big areas of open water.

Re: Hows Cutting Holes This Weekend
after this weekends cold snap we should have the big lakes locked up, the only thing that concerns me is the winds forecasted for every day except friday. usually if the water is semi locked up and it gets down to 0 or below they will lock up even w a slight wind. next week we should be out on the deep water jigging. If I go out im gonna just bring the shanty/heater and an auger, Id rather jig all day

Re: Hows Cutting Holes This Weekend
i want to be out on there, but i drive past it every day and it looks like crap...if it's windy, the cold won't matter. i really don't have high hopes of the good water freezing, but fingers crossed!

Re: Hows Cutting Holes This Weekend
Definitely going to need a shanty. They are predicting -10+ windchill on Saturday.
Be safe out there |
