Smallies are definitely in feed mode
4 Attachment(s)
Trying to get out every chance I can,(day or night). Have had a little luck :)
My son had his creek chub just about bit off at the head the other night on the Raritan. Walleye? Pike? Any thoughts? |
Re: Smallies are definitely in feed mode
Great job...you're a better man than me. I never catch anything out of that river.
Love the pics And way to get the boy out there too...Nicely Done |
Re: Smallies are definitely in feed mode
Nice Bronzies!
I would guess it was an Eel that decapitated your Chubb. With Walleye, you'll usually get puncture holes, not a complete bite-through. |
Re: Smallies are definitely in feed mode
Nice fish dude! Good to see the kids on the fish and into the game of fishing. Don't forget your tape measure and lighter, you've got some rather large BRONZE out of the river thus far. See you out there. TIGHT LINEZ!!!:D

Re: Smallies are definitely in feed mode
Nice ones! Pike in the Raritan come out of the Millstone; guess you know this, not that it's likely one would just bite the head off.

Re: Smallies are definitely in feed mode
Where at on the Raritan? I am new to Fishing up here and have been searching for a nice spot. So far only caught a few pickerel in the D & R canal by landing lane. looking for some small mouth action. Never caught one before only LMB which are common usual lakes.
Thanks |
