Jig Size
 

Whats the most productive jig size for fluke and in what color? I heard chartreuse and white are great but i don't know what weight?

I like white. 2-3 oz

As little weight as you need to keep in contact with the bottom so it all depends on how fast your drift is and how deep the water is. 3 to 5 ounces is usually the norm for a moving tide.

I'm going on a party boat most likely next week. Would a 2 or 3 oz spro in chartreuse be a good choice?

As Gerry said, it really depends on the drift speed and depth you are fishing. Make sure you are fishing braided line and try to jig straight up and down. If you have to constantly let line out to hold bottom you will not catch as many fish. A safe bet would be 4 oz. if you are fishing the ocean.

Ok. I might hop on that deal you have. But why do i have to have braid. Mono or fluro wont work??

Braid is a lot thinner so the current won't drag it upward as much

Last few trips on a party boat. Jig color blue/white- blue/gold. Seems dark colors produced more for passengers.

Depends where you are, certain areas need 4 oz, some need just 2. The areas I typically fish I can get away with 2 oz, even 1.5 oz all the time.

I wouldn't give much attention to the jig color, stick with the normal white or chartreuse. In my experience, the jig's color does not matter when you're using gulp only the gulp matters. If they're crushing white that day and not chartreuse, white on white don't matter, put chartreuse on that white jig and you'll be fine.
