Multi-species rolled into one post

Haven't had a chance to post here in a few weeks so here's a bunch of trips rolled into one...

Did some summer crappie fishing (one of my favorite things to do) but it wasn't quite as good as we've done in past years. Don't get me wrong, we still had a handful of 14" fish and probably a dozen plus 13", but summer time is usually good for a few 15" fish and even more numbers as they're stacked pretty tight most of the time. Had a few big 9" sunfish by-catch, as well.

Tried muskie fishing one more trip before the water got warm but only came up with one big pickerel. I straight armed the crap out of it so I could pretend it was as big as a muskie hahaha.

Of course a few lake trout jigging trips with plenty of nice fish, but here's just one pic of probably the nicest one.

And last, but not least, took a quick pike fishing trip that yielded one thick shouldered nice gator.

Nice catch-in and a couple of weeks ago we ran into a bunch of spawning 9" BG's but only 1 or 2 PS. As a youngster back in the 50's and 60's we would catch foot long BG (huge) one after another while fishing for trout in 40 fow but I haven't any that size in over forty years.
