Re: Opening Day Trout! Where ya headed???
Kinda glad about the forecast. Hopefully it keeps the crowd down a bit.

Bring on the snow, it should keep the fair weather fisherman home. :D

Re: Opening Day Trout! Where ya headed???
I was planning on hitting the "Kill" or the "Flatty". Not sure now how the levels will be after this storm. Maybe I'll just hit the local park pond, elbow some little kids out of the way :D and try to grab a few. Unfortunately no broodstock there this year. I'll be out though, rain or shine, or snow!?!?

I'm going to show up at the pond at 7:59, push my way to the edge of the water and find someone sitting down. Then I'm going to stand in front of him. He'll move because nobody can fish with someone's ass in their face. :D . |

As for your local park pond, even though it may not be on the 'Bonus Broodstock Lake' list this year it still gets a few bigguns. Whatever it gets in years it's on the list it receives 10% of that in off years. So if it gets 50 breeders in 'on list' years it'll have 5 this year. That's pretty much the standard formula for that program. |
