First day out and nice to be back. Picked this one up just where I thought they might be. Photo is a bit tough to take in the heat of the moment; trying to get it done quickly and accurately. (think I'll pick up a measuring board to help) In any event, thinking 18.75" is a fair measurement. Picked up 1 other before things turned off and we were sent scrambling. Can't complain...just back to the books to prepare for the next trip out.

First fish of the year goes out to by co-worker/fishing buddy who passed on last week. This season's for you Dan B.

Thanks & sure: water temp 47°, 20ft depth, small sinking/suspending jerkbait fished SLOW just off the bottom.

Went to Clinton Friday and picked up 5. Then hit oak ridge Saturday picked
Up 4 SM and 1 LM this is biggest SM 19 1/2" forgot tape used my fish board
Numbers a little hard to see will remember the tape next one.

@Hookedforlife ....thaz a good pic ...placement of the ruler an all ...for the record I HAVE a non- biased opinion as I was disqualified due to me residence ....cause they're all be affraid ima gunna catch a fatty cause I live in CO :D....but truth be told if you know your sheiiot .....NJ has just as good of a quality of fisheries ...... I know I'm originally from central jersey. ....so not for nothin .....how bout someone needing 3 thumbs( or smilley faces or sumtin) up for a measurement to be considered and if ya dont get it dont be a beioootch about it . ......it'll make people take better pics n measurements .... ... there's not many pics up of catches, so people can go back and look at the posted pics and say yay or nay so everyone is included ...... but that is a perttey LOOOOOOONNGGG SMALLIE :eek:

Unless you have a second set of hands, it's tough to get it just right.

Anyway, here's my new entry. Not a 21"..... But, bigger than my first entry . I'm callin it 17 5/8", lol. Fat girl on a crankbait, great fight.

Alrighty then!!! Found some BRONZE this morning, most were 14-16 inches. Managed one bruiser at 20 3/4 inches. I had to slide down the cliff I was fishing off of to land this fish. In the process of sliding down this cliff I managed to rip a nice hole in my new waders as well as my jeans and boxers. Pretty awesome chunk of skin came out of my backside as well. YEA BUDDY!!! As long as the fish was landed safely that's all that matters. My initial measurement of this fish is 20 3/4 inches. The tape moved and the ground was not level where and when I took the pic. Bare with me here and don't be too critical. GO GET EM' BOYZ!!!!!

Quality photo work Jeremy! That fish had some nice colors to it and I didn't think it was that big till it went airborne in front of us!!! Went to weight the fish and as I lowered the fish down and the weight was calculating the fish made one large swing off its tail and the scale exploded! Pieces all over and the two of us laughing as she was released exact weight still unknown!!!

bigger pictures would be nice too... we all know that the size limit for pictures that you upload direct to NJF is tiny, so toss the full size ones up on photobucket, facebook, google+ or whatever to share them instead. show those fish off in all their glory. saves you the step of having to resize them smaller before posting them anyway.

Thought about some of my previous post and edited it accordingly. I thought this was a Let's have some fun and basic rules and rely on the Honor System. If anybody has a question regarding the size I will withdraw the entry. Really kinda annoyed with all the F'n Negitivity on the site. Yes, I understand IT WOULD be nicer to see a better tape measure to see the numbers but I'm not running out to buy one. Both Jeremy and Myself do the best we can with what we have on hand. Almost every fish pic/measurement/angle/how the fish is positioned on the ruler and ON and ON can be questioned and commented on or called out or argued over. Everybody's crying about posts and it's really starting to get old.
Post what you want. Pm what you want but save all the BS for some place else.
