You ain't kidding BD... the team got better and better defensively as the game went on... Great third period and last few minutes were fantastic!! had me on the edge of my seat right till final buzzer.... :D

After watching Dallas beat the Isles Sunday night I knew our young team had it's work cut out for them to hold them from going on another scoring spree... but our youth have lot's of energy and it's even rubbed off on our vets who seemed to lose it last year.... I'm loving it!! Great to watch Quinn talk constantly to all the players... a complete 180 from AV loving himself more then the team!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Today is also my birthday and I began the holiday weekend by attending last night’s Devils game with my wife and daughter.
Credit to the Devils relentless forechecking but Habs defense looked awful. They badly miss Shea Weber and Paul Byron in the lineup.

Anyone need D Carl Alzner (healthy scratch in 16 games so far with 3 years remaining on his contract)?

Watched my first Rags game of the year just now.

My takeaways.....and you Blueshirt guys know way more than me.....way young up front, lotta mistakes, Hank keeping ya in games ya should lose.

SHOCKED ....how soft the Flyers look. Even the Kopecny scrap looked like he wanted nothing to do with it.

OMG!!! Yesterdays debacle was a 180 degree turnaround from the great game they played against Islanders on Wed.... was like a throwaway game to forget :( But congrats to hank for being outstanding for most of the game which should have been a 10-0 game... and not for nothing but I couldn't believe how many shots the flyers really blew :rolleyes:

Better be another 180 turnaround for the Caps today ;)

Here we go again... up 2-0 and then blow the lead and lose in that non-performing 2nd period :( No Cody McLeod ... very little toughness... lose both games...

Gotta play hard for 60 minutes! coach Quinn is gonna start turning gray pretty soon with this team...hahahahahaha :D

To the B’s fan who has never yet invited me on his boat:

Cmon Duff, Backes went down to the ice faster than a NYC hooker. He looked like he was shot by a .357 at close range. Still a penalty that Drouin cannot take late in the 3rd period in a 2-2 game.

Overall a bad day for me as I was blackfishing on the Capt Cal. Only 7-8 keepers on the entire boat. My haul: four NJ bergalls.

I'll take the 2 pts but some guys just can't find their game yet... gotta learn how to hold onto the puck, we have no one that wants to check anyone, but Hank is definitely better then the last few years, thank god!! :D

If Gorton can trade for the right pieces, we will be right up there in the standings.... ;)

Well... another lackluster showing for the entire team last night... it was hard to watch :mad: too many guys on injured list and no one stepping up at all including guys we are counting on... UGHHHHH!!

Better be a quick turnaround for Sat & Sun games or Bill will be gloating hahahaha :D

Well... with a 1/3 the team in the ambulatory box... don't know what to expect for both games this weekend :confused: Nylander only has to end of today to either sign with Leafs or be traded... we could use him at this point cause all our hopefuls have NOT fulfilled the hype before the season started..... Need a strong leader to get this team going :confused: Anyway, hoping for the best at this point...

On another note... after seeing Tom Wilson give another headshot last night, it's time for the league to step up before this guy kills someone :mad:

Was out on the Paramount yesterday. Small crowd of 10 felt like a private charter! Sea bass, ling, tons of eels and dogfish.

Split, Bunker and Dales: Habs have lost five straight games. D Karl Alzner now playing in the AHL making $5-6 million. Today, Nikita Scherback another lousy 1st round pick placed on waivers. Power play ineffective, Carey Price with his new $80 million contact playing lousy. Glad to see Shea back after two months, hopefully Paul Byron back after missing 14 games.

Injuries are a part of the game. No excuses. Gregoriev in goal for Blueshirts.

What a lovely way to spend a Saturday night, watching the Habs beat up the Blueshirts with Paul Byron and “Man Mountain” Shea Weber back in the lineup.
Arturi Lehkonen and Weber with 2 goals each, Tomas Ta-taaar with the PP goal for the easy 5-2 victory.

They should have given Neal Pionk an assist on the 4th Montreal goal !

Holy mackerel... after a really good run the Rangers are imploding game after game.... no one knows what the heck they're doing on the ice.... last couple of games are getting hard to watch... whole team going backwards instead of forward... we have no leaders, hence no captain :rolleyes:

Shaking up the lines each game seams to be making it worse not better.... we are in worse shape then the we were the first few weeks of the season...

How many guys will be sitting in the doghouse tonight :confused: It's getting really hard to believe we picked Lias Anderson 7th overall in the draft ... he doesn't even play like a First Rounder :(

Maybe management knew better when they said 2 yrs for the rebuild .... Rangeritus is setting in .... :mad:

Still shaking my head in disgust after last night's debacle :mad: After being up 3-0 after 2, I guess the whole team decided that was good enough and don't have to play in the third... we'll just leave hank out there by himself to try and stop every shot!!! If it wasn't for him the score would've been 20-3.... the whole team needs to sit in the doghouse next game!!!! Just Horrendous!!! :(

Habs went 1-4 on their recent homestand. Thank goodness the Rangers came to town Saturday night! I hope my trip up to Montreal in March is still worthwhile.

Duff: didn’t Rask take time away from the B’s before? Where do you find all these hockey-related clips? The teddy bear toss is priceless! I grew up watching the New Haven Nighthawks (AHL) and even caught a few New Haven Blades games at the Arena (no plexiglass—there was screen fencing!). The movie “Slapshot” resembled the Eastern Hockey League games!

Fished up in CT today on the BlackHawk. Got back home and saw that Carey Price and the Habs won their third straight game. Tomas Ta-taaarr with the GWG with just over a minute left in regulation.

Shea Weber with a blue line blast as Max Domi opened the scoring.

Rangers stayed in the game with TB better then I could've predicted... but after taking 7 penalties it was too tough to get going .... looks like another full week of PRACTICE and hopefully get some guys back from the injured list REAL SOON!! :rolleyes:
