I have friends with airboats but never Bowfished from one, have Bowfished from fan boats tho. Fan boat has a regular out board motor for getting spot to spot then has a smaller fan with 25-35 hp motor that will push you though all the weeds while fishing.

Dude if you are going to VENICE then you have go out in the GULF by the oil platforms for YELLOWFINS & monster JACKS. Try & squeeze in an extra day for that, it is a must do.

I have the dubious distinction of being skunked in Venice. Went redfishing. The guide couldn't believe it. We stayed out for 12 hours. He finally caught 1 or 2 at the last stop.
