6 inches? we'll be waiting til february lol..... 3-4 is all you need we may not get 6 if it doesnt stay cold for long enough in between. Im def in but I wouldnt bother on budd lake, its cleaned out from what I hear. Monksville u got a chance for some eyes amongst other things. Shallow lakes freeze up first usually theres alot of them around

We'll see how thick the ice is in January. Some guys, alot of guys are nervous when the ice is less than 6 inches. Ill be out on 2-3 inches of ice but cant invite everybody to a meet n greet on 2 inches of ice. Budd Lake has plenty of Pike to go around and Golden Shiners to catch and keep as bait. Monksville has alot of different species to catch but it takes a while for the South side to freeze. South side holds most of the Walleye on Monksville although I have seen a couple short Eyes pulled up right in the channel. Ive definitely been on 6 inches of ice in January. I was on 28-30 inches of ice at Swartswood 2 years ago in the beginning of February. We'll just have to wait and see what MOTHER NATURE brings!!!

dude, 2 years ago was an amazing ice season, on the ice way into march, i loved it. it was such a letdown with last year as a follow up.

here's to hoping we get a chance for a meet and greet this year! another few weeks and i will be out looking around for 1300'+ elevation for 3"+ of ice.

AbsoluteLY EPIC 2 years ago. My favorite moment was standing in front of the north tower at Round Valley catching Lakers in 90+ feet of water on a 1/4 oz Kastmaster!!!!
