That's my plan. I want to go home with fish to eat! Of coarse you need a boat or are really good at fishing from shore. It can be done ! Tight lines!

I'm still trying to understand the point of this thread, I read this several times.... are you asking to go on someone's boat? Asking to go fishing with someone? What are you asking or saying? I don't get it

If this applies to You, You have no soul.

meh, had it a million times, not impressed.. Its ok at times, IF you get one thats not skunky, pissy, and nasty...Backstraps are good of course, but I have no desire to kill an animal for a couple pounds of tender meat... The deer hasn't lived that has meat as nice as a plain old pork roast .

Too many skunky deer out there.. Most hunters want a big broad shouldered, atypical massive rack buck, the nastiest, skunkiest, pissyest tasting deer you can eat.. No thanks.... bob

understood.. I was certainly not demeaning your post, I knew where you were coming from. I hope it didn't come off that way..

I agree.. Its about the hunt indeed, but it IS nice to have a successful hunt, and not come home empty handed... bob

You're out of your mind. More venison for the rest of us though.

New guy here that's been lurking for awhile but felt I had to register just to refute your opinion on venison with my own(because people shouldn't read that and get the absolute wrong idea). I truly couldn't believe what I was reading! I'm sorry you feel that way about venison but it's not the meat it's either you or your friends can't cook or can't field dress worth a damn! I've never tasted a piece of meat from any part of the deer that has the characteristics of what you stated.

Even the biggest mature bucks I've shot taste great. It says a lot about your taste though when you say you'd rather have the blandest cut of meat that you can buy, loaded with who knows what over a piece of free range, fully organic deliciousness that is venison. I wish I had video of the people I tricked into thinking they where eating beef telling me how great it is.

Back on topic, it's for me definitely more about the hunt with the added bonus of dinner!
