When I pull into a parking lot and see a lot of cars with New York license plates, I put the car in reverse and leave! http://www.africaland.it/forum/image...sm-vari_60.gif

It's getting harder and harder to avoid the teeming hordes of city-folk.

The Park Police at the Delaware Gap controled the massive crowds that used to swarm the Route 80 visitor center area by strictly controlling the number of cars that can park in that area. The caravans of picknickers and swimmers just moved their parties up the road, preventing the outdoorsmen from finding any peace and quiet.

I do just want to add...based on some of the things being brought up here...that RV did have a person at the entrance to the Ramp area only letting in those with fishing licenses and that worked very well. Yes the lots were full but there were still spots to park your trailer and for the most part everyone on the launches was respectful and cooperating with each other. RV personnel really did a good job of keeping the area "sane" and only used for the purpose in which it is intended. Many cars were sent away and instructed to use the main entrance if they were just visiting the park.

I don't want everyone thinking that the whole situation was out of control. Other than the swimming stuff out in the reservoir...everything else was fine from what I saw. I totally expected the place to be loaded with people...as some have said...that's just how it is when you have this many people in a small state. Those parks are there for everyone after all.

Thanks,
Ken
