Man,

I remember your last year reports until you finally landed your first couple.

Probably still catching the same ones over and over again. LoL

Hahaha yes. Still waiting for the big girls to show their face. I lost one big one at the net a few months ago there, since then has been all 18"-22" 'eyes.

Nice going Skunk, looks like you have unraveled the mystery of the Monks! A friend of mine did in fact catch a GIANT hybrid in Monks. Just like in Greenwood I guess.....some were mixed in with a load of walleyes from the state.....not supposed to be in there but are.....:):)

Ahhh, so that's the explanation of these random hybrid catches in those 2 lakes...would be cool if they dumped a few more into those ponds :D

I often wonder why they don't stock hybrids in Monks. I think it would be a perfect place for them with all of the forage.

What's the deal on lakers there? I've heard they are still stocked and alternately, that they are definitely no longer stocked, though were years ago. Considering the depth there I'd think it would make a nice laker fishery.

Last year I tried drifting herring near the bottom of the deep spots looking for lakers, but came up empty. Waste of time or possibility?
