That section of the parkway was like whoopty doos with all the construction. I'm just lucky and happy no one was hurt thank god. Just hurt my wallet and some fresh scrapes on the bottom of the boat and my ego.

Well Capt I hope it didn't hurt your wallet to badly :( but we all live and learn. I'm sure that will never happen to you or any of your friends for ever. Nice to see your a stand up guy and explain the situation to the rest of us so we to can learn. Good luck to you and the boat. There are only 2 kinds of boaters. 1 those that have had their share of misfortunes and mistakes. 2 those that are still waiting for the same. Glad you and everyone else are safe. No harm no foul period.

Any time I fish as a guest on someone's boat I do a safety check on the rigging before I get in the truck to head home. A safety chain on the bow strap is a must. I seen some guys not do this expecting just the bow strap or cable to hold on a big boat, also some guys don't lock their trailer at the hitch ball to the towing vehicle. Please take all safety measures to keep us safe on the roads.
