He said it's the worse year he can remember for blackfish. He stressed the word worse. Not even a bite of little ones. He was very dis-hearted but totally honest. He had no answer of why, other than saying the fish just aren't there this year like usual. He said the sea bass are too far off their shore to make the those trips worthwhile.
This captain is a good man and fisherman. I don't see why he would turn away customers. So I believe him.

The seabass are staging in their typical areas they do in the winter....plenty of fish around...just a ride to get to them, like it is every year this time of year.
