Re: If you had to pick one all around inshore rod.

I use a old Fenwick pacific-stik, I think model # 1670-c rated 20-50 line. I have a penn 505hs on it now, that replaced a daiwa sealine 50h, 15 years ago.

I use it for everything, from fluke, blackfish, bluefish to yellowfin tuna!!!! I have had it for almost 30 years and it only let me down once, the top guide broke on a night bluefish trip 10 years ago. I put a new tip on and have not looked back since!!! It is not because I can not afford anything else , and I actually have many fishing poles but I always come back to the old reliable FENWICK!!! THE MEAT STICK!!!!

I recently built an inshore rod using Phenix M1 blank and it seems pretty versatile.
It's got a nice bend and has good power, as well as being very light.
I've only used it on fluke and have not yet had a chance to use it for blackfishing, but I feel confident it can handle them just fine.

I have a Phenix Recon that Ive been using a lot the last year and while I love it, it's not perfect. Im planning on having an M1 build and think it might just replace my Inshore Classic as favorite all around inshore rod.
