I mostly fish for muskies, but I fish for carp too. There are well more than a half-dozen waterways that I fish. Don't see why I would switch to golf, musky fishing is far more interesting than any other fishing I have ever done, and I grew up saltwater fishing and bass fishing. I don't see how the guys catching 12-inch trout keep doing that. At least I catch a fish that is 4 feet long every once in awhile.

Never caught one....my friends that fish them say getting the bite is the fun of it as they do not fight well at all..I had a real nice one following my bulldawg @ cave run lake in Kentucky.could not get him to commit through a one minute figure 8...I will get one eventually..... not on top of bucket list, but top ten I suppose.

well, steelhead are really cool fish. I caught a 15 lb wild steelhead out in Forks washington that fought as hard as any fish I have tangled with besides tuna, and jack species. Like you said earlier it all depends on what you fish for...same logic could apply to a muskie for me...the last fish I caught was back in September and weighed 800 lbs. why in earth would I care about a four foot long muskie?

Catching a musky is like nothing else and it's totally addicting. Some of them fight better than others..and not necessarily the big ones either. They fight better in cooler water. My buddy had one yesterday that stayed under the boat for almost a minute and wouldn't come up. I've been fishing for them for 2 years and I got my 19th yesterday. I've had 9 fish over 40 inches, 3 of which were over 46 and one that was probably pushing 50. Fishing for everything else kind of feels pointless now. I'll still jig for walleyes once or twice a year, do some saltwater fishing on vacation and fish for hybrids when the water is too warm in the summer.

Exactly what I said, it's matter of perspective, which is why I didn't understand why people were ragging on this guy for catching 70 "small" fish.

Fish r fish. I'd rather catch 50 sunnies in a few hrs then spend all day getting a few bass. 218 trips is the # that impresses me. Best i ever did while fully employed was around 150.
