Hey iceehot, are there any decent spots near the Mason Jar to launch a kayak into the river? I work in Ramsey right off Route 17 and would love to find a spot close to work for me to go to.

I don't have a kayak so I don't know the answer to that.....I'm sure right under the trestle when you get off 17N for 202 and make a left you could theoritically launch...I don't know the laws regarding launching kayaks though....but that spot I just mentioned seems low to the ground enough to be an easy spot to do it with easy access to the river..

As long you arent trespassing, you can launch from just about anywhere. I'm going to have to start scoping out spots. Appreciate the feedback! Skunk City lets gooooo!

Try launching over by the college, the spot I mentioned earlier in this thread. You should have no problems getting in around there and there's plenty of parking. I'm not sure on depths now, but it should be smooth kayaking.
