I think the colder winters prevent them from growing huge up here. I'm sure there are bigger fish in the river. I would bet the next few years will produce 30 and maybe even 40 lbs.

Flatheads down south get much bigger than 45 lbs. 70 is a trophy and the record is 123

That is a great friggin fish!! Reminds me of my hunt for the 20LB+ laker I haven't accomplished ye...Must feel good to get youre fish :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just watched the vid, Nice Fish!!! They def get bigger. I've seen pics of 30/40 pounders on another site. Go get em!!
