Re: Worst hooks ever the English Bend/Kahle
Agree with ol padro, if its a short don't even bother trying remove the hook just cut the leader and give that fish the best chance of surviving by letting the hook rust out without having its guts wrenched on. Now if that baby's a keeper, remove hook, bleed out, throw in da ice bath and get back down there.

They do kill lots of short fluke, they should be outlawed

Re: Worst hooks ever the English Bend/Kahle
I'm a big fan of the English hook I use the gold colored ones they rust away more quickly then any other hook I have seen. Just try this dip ur hand in the ocean, reach into a bag of these hooks. Don't wash the salt water off. Go back to that bag of hooks the next day and you will see exactly what I mean.

Re: Worst hooks ever the English Bend/Kahle
I am not much of a fluke fisherman, I fish for them off the Delaware shore for a week or two. I did finally figure out what was mentioned above, hooks size 4/0 and larger work best!!! I too prefer the Gami Octo hooks, but the big kahle hooks also work well. Probably do rust out quicker too.
