This has been surfacing on Facebook as well. The legislation is currently proposed for the state of Maine. It will only be a matter of time before other states see fit to adopt this as well. Supporting Keep America Fishing's efforts will help to get out in front of this before it becomes a state to state issue. Can't imagine not using GULP here or DOA products in FLA if this becomes widespread reality. What's next? Epoxy or lure finishes???:eek:

It doesn't seem to make much sense, but I'd like to see his rationale for it instead of all the (predictable and probably warranted) Internet outrage. Tough to search on his site, but there must be a position paper somewhere.
Banning biodegradable lures is especially puzzling.

By chance did you take the time to see who the "anti fishing establishment " is prior to signing and making this post?.........The bills sponsor is a Maine state REPUBLICAN house member who is also member of just about every pro fishing and hunting and fishing group in the state of Maine.
