I'm not the best to tell them apart, white crappie and black crappie kind of look the same to me, but they looked a little more pale.

im here, MILs bday so we were out at her place and yeah i think you said that was a white crappie...caught on a 1/4 oz rat l trap none the less, they seemed to like it that day since it was getting hit constantly

I was in Little Ferry saturday to visit my mother and decided to walk around the lake with the wife and baby. I just had surgery so it was nice to get out on a nice day. Only 1 person fishing the lake, was very surprised.

Anyway I saw 2 of those bubble eyed looking goldfish swimming around near the shore. A huge pod of orange carp/koi, atleast 16 i counted. The biggest surprise were the sheer number of turtles, and not snappers. These were tiny little things with color on there heads and shells. Wife startled a huge group sunning themselves on a patch of dirt. Once they scattered into the water I counted 9, pllus the 20 plus I had already seen in the water or along the shores.

I was hoping to see the snapping turtle that is like a manhole cover swimming in the water its that big.
