.

Same style grub (both 5 inch jerk shads)

Same conditions

Now you might be able to argue scent but aren’t both GULP & Pro Cure scented (not sure if the Pro Cure Flounder Pounder scent is the same as the GULP scent but Pro Cure also come in a variety of scents)

They both use a totally different type of scent .
Gulp material allows juice to totally soak inside it .

The stuff procure uses is made to stay on the outside .

Washed out gulp does not catch as well as freshly saturated baits do .

Reason I asked if tail was different as I have seen days here where they won’t touch a grub tail .
But the paddle shad gets pounded .
On slow drift days the nemesis will usually out fish both the grub and the paddle shad .
.
Conditions and what their forage currently is sometimes dictate what will produce best .

yeah, could be anything.... could even be all in our heads for what we know haha. some days i'll just stick with what's not working if it's worked in the past and it will end up saving the day towards the end. who knows. my gear is usually a hodgepodge of random different styles and brands of plastics so it is what it is i guess.
