Never gave it much thought till it was posted. They say wade carefully in the fall, not to tread on those redds.

As long as you aren't fishing to actively spawning fish on redds, there's really no issue. They don't all spawn the exact same few days. Plus, you can still catch the fish that aren't mature and in spawning mode.. Bigger thing to be aware of is staying out of the water as much as possible so you don't step on the redds.

Not disagreeing. Just pointing out that if may be hard to distinguish actively spawning fish from the others given water clarity, depth, debris in the flow etc. Might erring on the side of caution be a better choice.

Also saw this on another site. "Would you want someone hurling a box of twinkies at you while your trying to get it on with your significant other? That might disrupt your flow, no?" I thought that was a good analogy.

That's subjective. Depends on how much you like said significant other hahaha
