This is shocking and sad news. Andre was a great guy. May he rest in piece.

Very sorry to hear this :( beautiful words Eddie, I'm very sorry for your loss. If theres anything I've learned about this sort of thing, its that he will be with you on every trip you take and you be reminded of him by the smallest details. RIP

wow, so surprised and sorry to hear about this.... only met him in person once on the ice years ago but could tell he'd give the shirt off his back to even a stranger, like you said. let's all catch a few for him!

WOW eddie i can't believe this i met him one time at the state park on the ice he was a cool cat for sure. it sucks to loose a brother of the woods and water but be assured that he is on the golden shores on gods lakes now and we hopefully will end up there as well. glad you got to spend time with him before this happened and at a young age just goes to show you can't take the time you have on the water for granted may he rest in peace. prayers for you and his family...

No way. This is so sad to see. When I first started here on NJFishing, Andre was the first guy to reach out to me and we met up to fish a good number of times. We even rented a boat together and hit Spruce Run to try and win the Pike-a-thon a few years back. We didn't catch any Pike of course, but fishing with Andre was always a blast and got more fun the more Captain he had in him. Sorry for your loss Eddie and this is surely a loss for the NJFishing community. Rest Easy Andre.

Sorry for your loss Eddie. Great tribute you wrote. Sounds like another good man and fisherman was lost.

Just saw this, horrible news to hear! Way too young to go to heaven! Hoping he went doing what he loved, fishing! Condolences to his family and friends. RIP fisherman! Always enjoyed his post here and on other sites.
