Just go TA.

Maybe if you buy the worlds cheapest snap swivels.. In close to 60 years of fishing I have never had a snap fail during a fight with a fish...
Unless we are talking about 500 pound tuna, a plain old interlocking snap of good quality would b more than enough for any fish likely to be caught inshore..

thanks for the insight, gents! I want to do a lot more bluefish/fluke/striper fishing this year so i'm going to have to pick some up.

That being said I'm definitely a saltwater greenhorn so if anyone wants to fish this spring reach out to me! Always looking to make new friends and learn new things. Tight lines all!

Decoy Egg Snap freshwater, TA clips saltwater...

No snaps on sub 1oz bucktails/jigs.

Discovered an Italian company called Sea Spin, they make a 6lb and 10lb TA style clip for freshwater. Shipping is a killer, but they are very convenient for those recessed eyes on certain jerkbaits/crankbaits.

Baits are flash pointer 100 and pointer 78DD for size comparison; that's the 10lb clip...they seem well made but only time will tell.

That clip on the lip looks as if it would add a little rattle to it if you work it correctly.
