As others have said and I recommend it also go used for now . I have a older Ocean Drifter that came with everything except the fish finder for $500 and $189 I added a ff/gps combo to it.I’m going on my fourth season with it this year and it was the best thing I did. The only downfall is the seat/backrest it has the old style. The new style is like an adjustable lawn chair and are much more comfortable and you don’t get deadass. I just don’t have the $ to upgrade yak yet as the Tracker needs some upgrades. But I did look into the new VIBES that are out there. They are reasonably priced and you can stand in them.
Whatever you decide try it out for and hour or so so you can make sure you feel comfortable in the seat.
Good Luck and I can’t wait for the videos.

Re: Kayak Recommendations

If you buy a decent used boat and you find out that it isn't for you. You might have "rented" a boat for $100 once you sell it.

If you got a good deal at the end of the season, you might break even if you sell it at the start.

If you buy a cheap, big box store, piece of junk. You lose more than that immediately. Getting a good quality boat will also let you enjoy your paddling time better. Unless you are going into environments that self rescue is a requirement. Don't immediately discount sit in kayaks. Many of these can be had for reasonable. Just saw a WS Pungo 140 in decent condition go for $400.
