Some updates on the Mimi trip
- $125 payment will be made on the boat so if you are in and don't show up you still need to cover your fare.
- If you qualified for the Mimi trip you need to confirm by Wednesday 12/3 if you are in or out. If out, your spot will be filled by an alternate
- Boarding on the Mimi will be 6:15 and the boat leaves at 6:30 sharp.
- There we will be no boarding order.
- White Leggers, a tip for the mate and a $100 pool for largest fish are included in the fare. Feel free to tip the mate extra if you'd like.
- Please check in here the night before just in case we need to cancel for weather. If that is the case, we will revert back to the original 20 and the alternate list to fill the rescheduled trip.
- Sinkers will be available on this trip so take what you need and leave a donation for the family.
- This is largest fish takes all.... Winner gets the $100 pool, the PUOSU VII hat, use of the LAB Memorial Grandma rod and reel until the next PUOSU.
- Everyone is on their own for food and drink

Looking forward to fishing with everyone... I will be there and fishing but unless I get in as an alternate, I can't qualify for the crown.

Yep - I figured 2 things.

1) Like Murr said people are going to be moving all over.
2) Since it's the finals, no one should have an unfair advantage.

Joe, if Shrimpy is staying at your place Thursday night, just shut off his alarm clock and show up on the Mimi on his behalf....think of all those hermit crabs you'll save from getting stolen off his hook!

19 of the 20 guys will have broken hearts. For me not that big a deal as just being out on the water and catching a few is a good enough for me. If I happen to be lucky enough to catch the right one that would just be a bonus. Best of luck to all who have made it through

I neglected to pick up some sinkers on the last trip. Need a dozen or so 8oz and a couple tens if you still have SAMs to sell.

Let me know if anyone is bringing them, otherwise I will pick some up locally.

Got you covered Bob. I will be bringing the sinkers left over from the OE trip and there are plenty of 8s.

Somewhere I sent a post that vaporized so I am sending again....

How many bushels of whites will we have on this trip? Just want to be sure my crew is adequately prepared if needed.
The guys who got the crabs for OE trip should get a big WAY TO GO. They were the best in size, quality, quantity and were just about ALL alive.
"Its all about dat bait ....bout dat bait......no dead ones "

We have 3 bushels left over from the OE trip which Hookset is caring for and will bring on the Mimi.

Looks like we may have some spots open on the Mimi but will not know for sure until the end of the day today, Wednesday which is the in or out deadline for qualifiers and alternates.

If that is the case I will be inviting people who did not weigh in fish from the OE trip to fill in the 20 spots I committed to the Mimi. I will do this in order of the original sign up for the OE trip so on deck right now are Fin Reaper and Dales.

Will post back tomorrow or sooner once things firm up.

There were two full bushel of whites left from OE and Plus left overs I put them all back in the water right after I left OE and have been running racks down to them daily picking out a few dead ones! What ever lives till Saturday will be on the boat for takes and Chris always has whites on boat

Guess the question is to Alex and Gerry, for $125, I'm expecting there to be the right crabbage - make that the white kind. Are we expected to pay Chris for whites if the 2 bushels run out?

Sport - That is my intention... If for some reason we get cancled on 12/6, we will reschedule and go back to the oringinal 20 that qualified on the OE. They will get first right of refusal and if we havea any drop out we work off the original alternate list as well.

Chris has whites on the boat for sale so if we run out of our whites, the kitty will pay Chris for whatever extra we need.
