I am still really amazed that 40 guys on the boat, some know each other, some dont know the guy next to them for shizzle, yet everyone gets along and bullsheets!! Wonderful!

Great trip again Mike, Thanks and props to Joe for the food and whoever else brought food, to the sponsors who donated( I won the Tsunami rod) and to Captain Quinn and mates good work ALL DAY LONG!Then you got to clean 100lbs worth of garbage fish at the dock:p Great to see some old faces and meet some new. Dmac nice job on your piggy on a day when you really had to be on your game. Da Tats brothers good to see you guys, nice headgear! Mike,really nice job on the trip you put in a lot of time on the computer spouting off and on the boat, really great job! See ya next week! Lab-Great trip all the way around, top shelf stuff, one of the best put together by far.

Things I learned again on the trip: I really suck at black fishing, but I so look forward to sucking at it, in style, with my new Canyon Reel. Booya...

Capt. Bennett- Great meeting you and thanks for the tips. At least they worked for one half of the best dressed.

Everyone pays AT the boat, Except Foul Hook. He HAD TO HAVE HIS MONEY IN YESTERDAY or he was off the Mimi trip (this is what you get for asking if that was my son with the dreadlocks LOL).

This IS a BLACKFISH contest. I fished between two occillating fans who continually bounced their sinkers &/or rolled their fish and caught more and bigger than J Murr (I weighed both our fish after they were freshly caught and mine was 2 ounces bigger than his at that time - it lost those 2 ounces because I made the mistake of putting my tagged fish in HIS cooler; to be crushed by a mass of ling, dogfish and sea ravens)

D Mac will clearly be The Chalk because he EARNED it!

After him..........it's anybody's chance. The past winners are all out. Some of the favorites are OUT (Stellie, Clam Strings and Fish Cakes [ha ha ha]) and Boston Pete and FinS really SUCKED so The House will have to really put the thinking cap on!

The bow didn't get many bites yesterday, especially the starboard side......ClamStrings Sean, Stelly didn't make the cut(great blackfisherman), FinS & MVP Alex barely made it.


And that makes Dmac's fish even more impressive, he was a bow monkey too.

Read all the time how fishing was tough but people still had a good time even though they did not catch well. I always seem to have trouble enjoying myself when I do not catch well ( 3 keepers blacks, 2 seabass, 1 ocean pout and 3 short tog) Can not swing on bites if they are not there or swingable.

This trip proved otherwise as I truly enjoyed myself. Had the opportunity to meet some old friends as well as put a face to the name of some new ones. Have now expanded on my fishing family that I can now call friends. Looking forward to fishing with you guys again.

I've NEVER gotten a chance to try the BBQ the second day. The same peepz ALWAYS glom it before I get a crack at it.

Got crabs today and a little care package to add to the ones I am holding. Hoping for even more with friday's crabs.

We won't run short of crabs on sunday. Thanks Pete, Dennis and Pete for supplementing our 4 bushels. One wonders how we blew thru 4 bushels since no one had any bites??????
(and when Pete donated the balance of those crabs he had left over, it WAS after he culled thru the bag and cherry picked 3 dozen for himself. Not once did I hear 'Yo Bobby/Dennis.......come pick some before I dump them in wit Lance's')

I don't glom:D, I had a care package given to me by smokey. He always brings a little something for the Mrs. I have to bribe her with the promise of BBQ in order to get out and fish:eek:! I will have a shrimp cocktail with your name on it for Sunday (including cocktail sauce).

As far as the crabs running out, I think I saw some guys in the bow with mallets and drawn butter:D.

PS: I think Jimmymac will be calling you for our saturday trip on the mimi.

Let me know what I can bring (besides your shrimp coctail) for Sundays big trip.

People were trying anything to get a bite, and that meant fresh bait. I buttered a crab and stuffed him full of brisket. :D Still no love....so I ate it.

Only one way to go for me, so I'm going in with NO pressure. Haha!

Thanks LAB for putting a great trip together. the weather was perfect, the food was great, the capt and crew were spot on, and and it was a pleasure catching up with some peepz and great meeting some new ones. Special thanks to Capt. Chad Bennett on the lesson on culling white crabs.
